Bill Niemans began his career in the water well drilling industry in 1975. As the 80s approached, the option became available to purchase his brother’s company, Niemans Drilling. Bill, along with his wife Lynda, decided to acquire the company and all of its equipment. On April 1, 1980, Niemans Drilling (1980) Ltd. was officially in business! Since then, Bill has built Niemans Drilling (1980) Ltd. on his dedication to providing honest, professional and reliable services to southern Alberta.

Since 1992

Todd Niemans, Bill’s eldest son, has installed and serviced pumping systems and advanced to licensed journeyman driller in 1997. Todd now works as a consultant.

Chad, our second son, became employed with Niemans Drilling (1980) Ltd as a pump technician, flow tester and backhoe operator. Chad advanced to licensed journeyman driller and has carried this position since 2001.

With the drilling division taken care of, Niemans Drilling (1980) Ltd was in need of a pump technician. Our youngest son Randy accepted this position in 2004. Randy is skilled in system design and troubleshooting with training in all the latest technology.
